Athens Video Art Festival changes into Athens Digital Arts Festival
In 2014, Athens Video Art Festival celebrated its 10th anniversary and it is already organising its next edition to be held in spring 2015. On this occasion, we would like to inform you that the Festival changes its name into Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF). The new identity reflects the festival’s expanding programme which includes a wide range of art forms based on digital technologies.
Athens Video Art Festival was founded in 2005 with the intention to offer a platform to video art, installations and live performances. Within the following 10 years, the Festival gradually evolved and included more art forms, such as web art, interactive installations, animation, digital image, performances, applications and workshops, exploring creative aspects of technology and digital culture. In 2012, the Festival introduced the subtitle “International Festival of Digital Arts & New Media” in order to communicate the wide spectrum of its activities and events.
The Open Call for artists for the 11th Athens Digital Arts Festival will be announced on January 29.
We really hope you will embrace the next edition with the same enthusiasm and support that you have shown to us during the past years.
