The Sea in the City. A unique event at the Kypseli Municipal Market

ADAF and COSMOTE TELEKOM bring

the Sea to the Heart of the City

A unique event at the Kypseli Municipal Market

ADAF joins forces with COSMOTE TELEKOM to create networks of experience and communication – just as jellyfish form invisible yet powerful networks of life in the sea. Through technology, creativity, and collective participation, we envision a more sustainable and connected future.

On September 25, 2025, the Kypseli Municipal Market will be transformed into a hub of art, technology, and immersive experience through a special initiative of the Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) with the support of COSMOTE TELEKOM.

From 17:00 to 23:00, visitors will have the chance to explore a multifaceted program featuring:

  • Workshops with experienced facilitators
  • Talks and discussions with artists and technologists (CoVision – co-funded by the European Union)
  • Interactive installations and Mixed Reality experiences
  • Screenings, music, and live performances
  • Children’s animation workshops

At the core of the event are the interactive jellyfish – a participatory installation merging art, science, and technology, aimed at raising awareness about climate change and plastic pollution. Just like the purple jellyfish multiplying in Greek seas, these interactive creations serve as silent messengers of the environmental crisis.

This installation is not merely an artwork – it is a collective experience, a creative manifesto inviting audiences to engage actively. Visitors will be able to craft their own jellyfish using plastic bottles, which will be transformed into artworks and integrated into the largest interactive installation ever presented in Greece – scheduled for unveiling in January in Athens.

Don’t miss it!

  • Be one of the 30 lucky participants to co-create part of the installation with the facilitators – bring your own empty plastic bottle!
  • Engage in conversations with artists and technologists
  • Join the children’s animation workshops
  • Enjoy a live music performance by Papazó feat. Artemis Kyriakopoulou
