The International Festival of Digital Arts in Greece, Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) returns for its annual edition in the historic centre of Athens and invites you to a four-day gathering which will take place on May 21 – 24 in Diplareios School.

Under the theme of Public Space_s, the Festival seeks to highlight the various aspects of “public” both in the digital and physical space. In our times, the notion of public space appears to be one of the most contradictory concepts while the rise of network and communication technologies has changed our experience of public space. Public space is not only characterised by physical space and architecture but also by networks and knowledge distribution. In this framework, we seek to redefine the multiple interconnected spaces within which we act and raise new questions in relation to the information age.

Through its multidisciplinary program, artists from Greece and abroad will share with the public their own narratives based on new media, networks, space, sound and communication technologies featuring multiple aspects of digital creativity.

The 11th edition of the Athens Digital Arts Festival will present multimedia interactive works, audiovisual installations, video art, web art, digital image, creative workshops, artists’ talks, presentations of international festivals, performances and music events, creating an ephemeral and dynamic public space in the historic building of Diplareios School and outdoors in Theatre Square, Monastiraki Square and St. Eirini Square.
